I did a thing and tried out this subscription box service called Stitch Fix. I have total mom fashion – leggings and nursing tanks most days – and thought it would be nice to have someone style me. The way it works is you fill out your profile, answer some questions about your style, your measurements, how you like your clothing to fit, and then they send you a box curated to you. You even get your own personal shopper, cool right?
The initial investment is $20 and I was hooked up with Sara. She reviewed my profile and Pinterest boards, and send me this pretty box last week.
First off, the box itself is nice and clean, with simple marketing and instructions. Try it on, if you like it, keep it- if not, throw it in a pre-paid envelope and return. Too easy.
I received 3 tops- one half sleeve, one short, and one knit super soft long sleeve, along with a pair of boyfriend cuffed jeans and a pretty chevron necklace from ROMOLO. I basically squealed and committed to the necklace as soon as I saw it. It’s lovely!
The black embroidered shirt from DEX was pretty, but not really my style, and the way it fit was a little too loose and flowy. When I filled out the return box, there was an option to describe the fit and how I liked it, which was awesome so I know I won’t receive a shirt similar again. I did like the LE LIS embroidered top with half sleeves and it fit beautifully, but I could only keep one top this month and the soft, fuzzy LE LIS raglan knit top won my heart. I can’t wait to wear it once the fall breeze starts hitting Missouri!
The pants Sara selected for me were KUT FROM THE KLOTH distressed boyfirend jeans. The distressing wasn’t crazy and they still managed to look polished, and the cuffs are a cute accent when worn with Toms. Plus, the rise and fit is excellent! I might actually be a little sad once I lose enough weight to retire them lol!
If you purchase all 5 items, you recieve a killer 25% discount on the whole package. Otherwise, the $20 initial fee is applied to whatever you do keep, and all you do is checkout and return the items you don’t want.
Go check out Stitch Fix – I get a small credit for each person who signs up through me, and you can do the same with your friends 🙂
